  • Recognizes physicians who comply with this group's requirements in the areas of diabetes and stroke as well as making care more patient-centered.

  • Can search by doctor or practice name.
  • Reputable national organization working to improve health care.

What we don't like:

  • Does not provide any other information about doctors' background, training or other information about their quality of care.

What we like:

  •  Provides access to a wealth of information about doctor's (and other health practitioners) including information about office visits and costs, their prescription patterns and any payments from drug or device companies.

  • Information comes from federal Medicare program.
  • Uses nice graphics to convey complex information.

What we don't like:

  • Some of the information several years old.

  • Can't easily compare physicians.

What we like:

  • Unique site that provides information on the cost of medical procedures and items.

  • Gets information by calling facilities and through public crowdsourcing.
  • Also includes information about what Medicare pays.
  • Best information in certain areas such as parts of CA, FL, LA, PA and TX.
  • Lots of good information/articles about topic of price variation and insurance.

What we don't like:

  •  Limited information available though tells you names of providers that won't give out information.

  • Site hard to navigate which reflects the complexity of health care prices.
